Moody blues is one of my albums that I hope plays well. The jacket is in terrible shape!

Ahh I just ordered a copy of this! I can't believe I literally held it and opened the flaps and commented on how it's a Geiger image and then put it back down.
I then went to the counter with the first three studio albums by elp and a double lp of Keith Emerson and the Nice without realizing it was the fourth studio album that I needed! Just realized I need to pick up "Welcome Back My Friends to the Show That Never Ends~" and I'll have the full set, up-to their hiatus years

I've been wanting to give this one a spin for a couple years now, fortunately only needed to connect a few batteries & a speaker. The fun part was trying to tune it in, not exactly easy to find your station with 3 non calibrated dials, and far from hi fi.

Elbow ‎- Giants Of All Sizes (green vinyl) It is a very dark green, when I took it out the sleeve It did look like standard black vinyl.

Technically not "currently" playing, but as I was batching it this weekend, found some old friends:

This must be a recent issue, I assume? (considering the rarity of the original). How's the pressing quality? I've been wanting to get myself a copy but new vinyl tends to be so-so quality-wise, while at the same time being quite expensive...

Yes, 20th September 2019, it's the 50th anniversary edition, Abbey road studios half speed master. https://www.discogs.com/Scott-Walker-Sc ... e/14143711, if you read the comments on discogs it's fairly mixed. The copy I have is slightly dished, but on playing it is good, so I'm still deciding whether to keep it. Bass is nice without dominating and highs are clear. It's not good that the quality control is letting it down.

I've got Scott and Scott 2, which are both 2014 pressings, remastered in 2013. In contrast to Scott 4 on both these pressing where the highs build to a crescendo they seem a little strained. but overall they are listenable.

Ah, what a shame. But thanks for the info! I do have the old 90's CD issue on Fontana that sounds great to me, guess I'll have to make do with that until I can afford an original or a better repress is produced.
