Remember, as I said, "Life is short"...Appreciate it while it lasts...One blink and it's gone!

Another one from a mother's point of view...

If you're a parent, spend time with your kids...If you're a grandparent, spend time with your grandkids...If you are an aunt or an uncle, spend time with your nieces or nephews...If you're a sibling, include your brothers or sisters...or spend some time with your mother and father...They only have so much time with you...You only have so much time with them...Take advantage of that time as much as you can, for you never know how much time you really have...

Taylor Swift's song here reminds us of how important spending that time is...

Still on the subject of mothers, another song maybe less a life lesson than about remembering a late mother, however another tearjerker I always liked and had been thinking about posting on this thread.

And another song that took a while to make sense of, but the subject of mothers also brought to mind, and I have always kind of liked since hearing on the radio back in the 90's. While I thought about posting it here before, trying to find a real lesson in it gave me second thoughts, but anyway....

Now, here's a life lesson in a song title..."Shower the people you love with love!"

I don't know, but it works for me!

And the ripples of the message keep resonating and spreading! :D

There is just something about James Taylor's music, I think, that has held me, comforted me and strengthened me over the years...It has this simple power that nothing quite like it truly does...

For example, I've been doing much walking and thinking lately, so his song "Walking Man" really holds an element of truth, at least for me...

And I keep on walking... :)

We all need a purpose in life, they say...I think James has figured it out...

So, here's my question to you guys...Why are YOU here??? :-k

Yes, life can be a lovely ride, but it can also be a crazy ride, at times, as Michelle Branch here reminds us...

And another one of those newer songs that kind of reached out of the radio and grabbed my ear the other day. While titled Song For Daughters by Stephen Kellogg, it's chorus line, "don't be too hard on yourself, you don't have to be somebody else...." stood out regarding feelings I can relate to.

That line "Don't be hard on yourself" reminds me of this song by Jess Glynne that goes...

"Don't be so hard on yourself, no
Learn to forgive, learn to let go
Everyone trips, everyone falls
So don't be so hard on yourself, no..."
