Dual Reference Website History?

Post by Electone » 08 Nov 2016 01:19

Is the Dual Reference website gone for good? No connection for the last couple of days:

I noticed that too. I hope it is going to come back. I would reference that site several times a year.

I checked today (11/29/2016) and they are back up and running!

The site looks the same as I recall it several months ago.

It's down again and has been for the past few days. Hope it's temporary. Great resource!

That's not a good sign. I wonder what the problems are? Perhaps we can Help?

Well, it's Jan 4, 2017 and it is still gone. I was able to find that their IP address was 98.139.135.128 and I was able to ping it and it answered. Not sure what it is answering. So sorry to see it go, too. I used it frequently. I am sure we could donate to get it up and maintained again if that's what the issue is, but who knows? It could be many things.

They were my "go to" place when researching Dual tables years ago.

Thanks for sharing that Ron! =D>

Hopefully the main site comes back again, but this is a lot better than what we had recently.

Seems like they didn't want to keep paying for hosting the site. Which is a shame. Does anybody know how to contact them? Maybe we could rehost it ourselves.

I also attempted to donate to the site through PayPal. Unfortunately, I was unable to do so in that a request for my email and password kept coming up. After three tries, I gave up.

We are all thankful for the free hosting but right now the dual reference site is captured on the web archive wayback machine as it was at some unknown point in time. The original site seems not to be hosted any more. I hope its captured free permanently.
