Dual 1210 in bad condition.

Post by enneceffe86 » 09 Dec 2019 15:22

hi, i'm from italy.
I've this turntable of my father in bad condition.
It's a dual 1210.
cabinet is original but it's painted of blue color.
There's no knobs in start/ stop button , arm holder, plugs.
I've put a plug and it's turned. is worth to restore it?

I would say definitely no!

It's a bottom of the line model in very poor condition.

Sure the 502 is a good turntable!

Along with the cartridge you would need a TK-14/24 headshell. Sometimes you can buy a headshell and cartridge combined on the site you were looking at.

I don't have any personal experience with the Technics but you can read reviews here:

It uses a TP4 cartridge, so you can't adjust stylus pressure and would have to replace it with the same type if needed.
