Dual 1229 120/240 power switch connections

Post by hongit » 04 Feb 2019 03:39

Hi all, My first post here after discovering vintage Dual turntables. I have a 1019 and 1228 which I am happy with (prefer the 1019). But my question is the rewiring for the power switch for a Dual 1229. I purchased it as a 110 volt machine and am in Australia so need to use 240 volts. I have the 50 hertz pulley and am getting a 110/240 volt power switch (is that the correct term?). Can someone direct me to which wires need to be connected to which terminals. Photos would be much appreciated. I have seen the schematic but can't make head nor tail of it. I take it I only need to change the pulley and the power switch box.
Thanks

I hope you got it working for 240V. The information you need is here -

One tip to get the wires out is to thread enamelled copper wire (magnet wire) under the connectors and
use that to yank the wires out...the tabs on the switch box are rather delicate and break off easily.
