Some of these items are actually dangerous. I have serious doubts about the safety of some exotic fuses and hosepipe power cables of bizarre construction

BTW, if standard N American AC outlets really have such poor contact, we would have a continuous rash of outlet fires due to the heat caused by the resistance in the connections. :)
lol they have sold one. If people keep buying this stuff, then there will always be a seller.

The buyer has zero feedback, so I suspect its a seller purchase to try and tempt others.

But that's just me. :D :electric: :electric: :electric:

Might need an extension for the usb connector, that looks a little too heavy for your average usb input. [-X  [-X
I haven't looked at this thread for a few weeks and boy, am I glad I did. That's funny! I'm sure the wood keeps it well grounded, which we all know is a perennial problem for USB anything. Holy cow! And even if it doesn't keep the usb port grounded you can always use it to elevate your speaker cables. A win-win situation for everybody1 Yay!!!

Apply BlackDiscus's upon your cables and be amazed. The owner of Mad Scientist Audio sez; "I was playing around with something, not related to audio particularly, and I wondered if this item might have an effect on my system".

It must have been a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup

"Due to commercial considerations we are not able to explain how BlackDiscus devices work". Or taste! More food for thought for the gullible minded.

I think it's a sugar high from eating too much Reese's Peanutbutter Cup's to use the candy wrapper as a form to pour his proprietary amazing audio goop into to make the BlackDiscus.

Let's keep in mind that the AC first has to go though an amp's power switch.

Replace an AC outlet has nothing to do with an audio signal....or increasing AC voltage as long as the old one is perfectly functional.... no matter what the snake oil salesmen may say.

Upgrading your AC outlet and expecting better audio is like thinking that replacing your car's dashboard ignition switch will somehow give you more horsepower. :)
Changing the whole circuit will.
Higher gauge mains cable and better connectors on the wall, will give you an improvement.
If you don't believe and call it Snake-Oil, Bad luck =D>

The wiring in my house is #14 solid copper, with 15 amp breakers.
My amp only draws a couple of amps at most.
This works for me. YMMV.

Cheers,
Alec

Has this been covered yet?

http://www.enjoythemusic.com/superiorau ... oddess.htm

Or this??

"And from Germany- NucleoSTOP, a compact device that has it all .
An innovative process instantly and completely detects nuclear power in real-time and sends it back to the generator before flooding your precious electrical appliances.
The latest version also detects nuclear power from abroad and sends it back to where it comes from through a unique rerouting algorithm.

The device can be easily connected to any electrical circuit, preferably a counter close to the meter - and you can consume power immediately with a clear conscience, the nuclear lobby will no longer benefit from it. We guarantee that no atomic current can be measured after connecting the device to your sockets, even with the finest analysis technology."

Tight connections? I think that guy has a few loose ones. That's one of the funniest ideas I've read here yet.

What exactly is the purpose of rejecting nuclear generated electricity? Does it have an unpleasant sonic signature? Does it prevent you from being exposed to hazardous levels of nuclear contamination?

This makes Mpingo discs look like a good idea.

I haven't seen this and I don't believe it's anywhere in this thread.
http://www.machinadynamica.com/machina31.htm

It's from Machina Dynamica, so you know it's the best of the best. I wonder if anyone has ever actually bought any. It must be a tough life to be a sap.
