40 minutes north of Seattle sounds a wonderful place in the world to be. Is that still in the US, or across the border?

The border is another 90 minutes north of where I'm at. This is a beautiful part of the country (except for all the rain/gray sky in winter).

I didn't realise the distance was that great. Looking at Google maps, it does look like a nice place - the broken up coastline, all that water, park/forest area. Must be a nature lover's paradise.

I'm tucked away in a cozy little spot not too-far off the beaten trail, in the suburban sprawl that lies east of Buffalo, NY.

I live in the south part of Sweden but right now since a couple of days ago... a very very snowy and cold Sweden. :D

But I think it's the same in many parts of Europe right now. In many parts of the world they are talking about global heating and the greenhouse effect but I'm afrid that right now it more seems like "north pole" effect and a beginnig of an ice age. :D
