A nice leafy village just outside of the Leicester City suburbs. I say it's nice based upon how rough the bit of Leicester was that we used to live in!

I'd be more impressed if you lived in the northernmost city in Canada. :)

Guess I've already given my location away. I'm in Tucson, Arizona, USA. Bout 60 minutes from the OK Corral in the "lush" Sonoran Desert.

I live in Geneva, third city of Switzerland, far west of the country.

A small city (150'000~, 450'000 for the county), with a lot of International organisations headquarters and a good university.

Greetings from GVA ! Best.

Hi, just discovered this great thread.

Originally I've been born and bred in Essen, Germany.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essen

Now I live in the city center of Hamburg, Germany's second largest city. Great harbour, great pubs, great concerts. And most important: loads of great vinyl shops.

This is my first post after sneaking and peeking around VE for a couple of years, so hello to all.

What an interesting idea it was to post this, though I see the last response was in 2003 - that's 14 years ago! Not the top in the popularity stakes. Well, for whoever is interested, I'm in Johannesburg, in South Africa, and the main reason I bothereed to reply is that there doesn't seem to be anyone else from this part of the world on the forum.

Hi Alec
Thanks for pointing that out to me. Oh yes, now it looks more interesting. I was surprised at what looked like the lack of activity, but I see there's been plenty. Fascinating to see all the places in the world represented.
Cheers,
Errol

I've seen Kansas from the air. Your photo nails it.

Thanks! Visual navigation is so much easier since the advent of the smart phone GPS :)

I'm in NE Tennessee, in the southeast. There are two major mountain chains here, the blue ridge and the smokies. I'm originally from the New York metropolitan area.
