I wonder does the coating become oxidized or what over time, that it needs re-coating. Regardless, it's amazing the single purpose massive machines that are contrived to do this process. And with tolerances probably measured in microns. It gives one a little faith that human ingenuity could be used also to solve huge social issues, then you regard the political process and get bummed out. I'm looking forward to witness some of the images from the James Webb telescope that hopefully gets launched in March of 21.
