Don't know if there are any laws here in France against working on your own car but it's getting much harder all the time due to car design.

I've always done my own oil changes but with the car I have here, even if I could fit under, I could not reset the oil-change alarm without visiting a shop with the computer to do it...

As far as I'm concerned, it is high time to cut the heads off the technological Hydra claiming to make our life easier when only making us slaves to the machine. Computers anyone?

But anyway, modern technology has nothing to do with yesterday's marvels.

Yesterday's marvels were really trying to help people in their daily life. Today's technology's only intent is to sell us more crap we don't need. With probably a much darker side: tracking us to the smallest details of our lives to better manipulate and abuse us.
