It's a fascinating rite of passage young Mongolians have learned...Check out the video to see this tradition in action...

Reminds of when I was kid, oohing and aahing over my dad's Lloyd's player...

Ahhh, to be young and impressionable again... #-o

I collected Samurai/Wacky Plak Cards and Airfix/Revel kits. Had everything from the B17 to the Tirpitz.

When I was a kid, I was in love with the music teacher. She was young, she was beautiful, and she had a voice like an angel. And she was at least twice as old as me, who was 4 feet tall.

Cheers,
Alec

I remember my first obsession and it was vacuum cleaners, I was probably 2 or 3 years old, I always wanted to know what someone’s vacuum cleaner looked like, but at that age the noise of it would have scared me, it wasn’t until I was older that it didn’t bother me anymore, aside from that when I was 13 I bought my first vintage fan it was a dime store fan from the late 1940’s the brand was Eskimo I think the model was 1100R late some years later I thought I would have a garage sale but I had it on display only and some older guy tricked me into selling it and then got me to give it to him for $15 dollars, at the time I was 16 or so and he manipulated me into giving it to him for cheaper price, I even remember where I bought it and the price it was $38 dollars and I bought at the antique junction, Pasadena TX which it closed up about last summer but they certainly didn’t go out of business it was and old guy and his family that ran it I think it was the only antique store in that town it was an antique store before 1998 and it had the same name and they bought it then and ran it for many years. Sorry for rambling I went down memory lane a little bit.

Nice, CDK! Reminds me of a kid I met at my outdoor antique market, who was into fans! And of course, young Reece who I mentioned at the beginning of this thread! =D>

Anyway, I saw this 6-year old kid recently on my local news, who is into collecting car badges, of all things! :D

And he even got to drive in his own custom Mustang! =D>

I mentioned stamps, but here's young Nathan Howe, the numismatist! That's coin collector, for you unfamiliar with the term...

Here's another kid, but a comedian, young Ned Woodman...

I wouldn't want him to "roast" me, though... 8-[
