so ANC as the deck will be from the USA, as a 1/4 Whitworth is also 20tpi (although the thread form slightly different) it will most probably fit. Jon, if you cannot find one, let me know I'll certainly have something.

Thanks very much. I've ordered some 1/4" coarse pitch bolts on ebay - hopefully that'll do the trick.

Aren't there hardware stores you can go to to buy a bolt or screw? Is On-line the only option?

There are but you have to know what you're looking for. Also in this country it's a bit harder to get Imperial sizes than metric.

I got five bolts for less than £2 - a lifetime's supply!

So when I go to the hardware store, I can screws and bolts in both Imperial and metric. I still find it hard to understand a hardware store not carrying both types.
