Nearly all Rega arm with magnetic anti-skate have a small amount of residual anti-skate when we to zero so your arm is “normal” I just had a block with a vertical face that I let the arm “hit” before it hit the arm rest and bounced up.

thanks to all for the advice..I got the P3 the other day.. installed to groovetracer subplatter and Delrin platter..did not get their counterweight ..installed a 2mm spacer on the tone arm and then mounted my ortofon 2m Bronze cartridge ,,did my best to align cartridge using protractor .. the one problem I noticed while trying to balance the tone arm was that the tone arm wants to move towards the tone arm support bracket or away from the spindle... I was able to get it balanced but I ran out of time to play a record ( have not hooked up tt to my system)...has anyone heard of this?? I am worried when I play a record the stylus will scoot right off the record!!
Hello,

Also make sure the table is dead level side to side and front to back. Just a little incline will make the tonearm moved sideways.

Mike.

So, how does it sound?
I expect the cartridge will need some settling in.

Cheers,
