Trying to identify the age of this Planar 3

Postby jpd1009 » 19 Jun 2018 06:59

Hi,

I have come across a planar 3 that I am looking to purchase, the seller doesnt know the age. It is a little unique compared to others I have been searching online. I am curious about the tapered sides to the base.

Thanks

James

Same one as mine. P3-2000. Around from early to mid-2000’s. Not old at all.
Check that the motor is still adhered to the plinth & put a drop of oil for the bearing & you should be good.

If you're on twitter, then tweet Rega (@RegaResearch) with the serial number and they will tell you when the turntable was built. I did this the other day and they messaged me back in about 10mins with the exact build date!
