Not familiar with Trigon - I use Clearaudio Basic Plus for my Rega. What's wrong with the Creek? I remember that being quite decent.
Forget the phono. I bought myself a brand new Luxman 505UXii :D

Oh man those lush blue meters! Sigh! Listening to my vinyl has just gone up 10 more notches in the pleasure area! Lol

dl-hoffman, (sorry, can't find underscore), I have an RP3, with the same upgrades as you have, and thought I could try a cartridge upgrade, but couldn't afford a whole MP200, so just went for the stylus, and it's terrific. The basic Nagaoka sound is still there, but there seems to more space around instruments, with more detail, too. The stylus/needle sits a couple of mm lower than the 110, so I raised the arm and it all seems OK. The cantilever is a tighter fit into the cartridge body, so presumably gives a better contact.
So, when you're looking for an upgrade, and money is tight, try it.

Hey guys. Just wanted to do a couple of small upgrades to the planar 3. What’s the first thing? Get a better belt? Platter? For now I’m not going to upgrade the cart since it’s still very new. That’s for the future. What can I get done immediately? Thanks!
