Garrard D200 direct drive deck

Postby oswestryalex » 17 Jul 2017 20:32

Hi,
I have a DD75 already, but came across this deck and obtained it. I can't seem to find out anything about it, nor the GC11 cartridge that it comes with. Is the cartridge worth saving or should one go to a AT95E? If anyone has a manual for this deck, I would highly appreciate seeing what light it might shed. Thanks! oswestryalex :D

You won't find much about it. The B and D series...Belt and Direct drive...were built after Garrard as we know it from its glory days was run into the ground by Plessey snd sold off to Gradiente for a pittance. They are basically Gradiente designs with little Garrard design DNA. I may have some little technical literature about them but it's doubtful. They were the last products built at Swindon before the factory was shut down, some of the machinery moved to Brazil, and nearly all staff dismissed.
