Although it is listed, I cannot locate the manual and schematics for the Garrard 3000. Any ideas where to find one? I would like to replace the motor and would like the schematics.
Thanks

Hi, I also find myself in this situation. Did you ever figure it out?
Thanks.

You may have to look at the other autoslim decks for inspiration. Most UK-spec 3000's came with a two pole motor, so the 1000, 2000 (and 1025/2025 derivatives) may be of interest, also the 40b and 50 models.

Motor aside, I tend to recommend the SL65 manual which covers most of the mid era models underneath. Garrard did do tweaks here and there as the years went on, but these were mostly evolutionary I believe, rather than fundamental changes.

If you can retro fit a four pole motor (most UK spec ones had two pole motors but it was an option - you'd need wiring, swich? and mains connector block), a well serviced sample with good arm bearings should do well with one of the more durable 2 - 3 gramme tracking MM cartridges out there.

1000-2000-3000 at one point shared the same service manual but mechanically all the Autoslims worked the same. The manual for the original Autoslim/AT6 and the SL65/SL55/60 Mk II/50 Mk II have the best explanation of the mechanics of the autochanger function.
