Currently at 6:

Stanton 681EEE MKIIs w/LP Gear Vivid Line stylus
Pickering XSV-3000 w/NOS D3000 stylus
Pickering XSV-3000 w/Pfansteil Elliptical stylus
Audio Technica AT440MLa
Shure RM950ED
Audio Technica AT110e

Trying to rationalize spending on a Stanton 881s with NOS stylus...

I've been doing it with records too. I have some duplicates in my collection, as well as some records that I listened to once or twice but I know I'll never listen to again, so I'm moving them along to new homes. Living in a very small (500 sq ft) apartment is a very compelling reason to do this. ;) I'll still have approximately 800 records by the time I finish selling or giving away the ones I no longer need. That's more than enough music to last me the rest of my life. :D

Nice, I'm in a similar situation: 900 sq. feet (not small by any means, but shared with 1 person), and about 800 records (2, 2x2 Ikea Square storage units side-by-side, not filled too tightly, but 10 of the 12 squares filled just enough for the LPs to stand up, one square for singles, and the other square for box sets). I know there are at least 50 records I need to get rid of and some I haven't heard yet. Funny thing is, I'd make mixes to cassette for the car from LPs that I get rid of, but have a nice song or two, and, more than a couple of times, because I don't write out the tracks on the cassette card, I forget where some of these songs come from. Small ensemble, obscure Jazz can be rough because Shazam doesn't work well for stuff like that.

I'll say this, I wish I could trade records for carts, hehe. It would be cool to have a trade community here for folks who just want to try stuff out.

Just moved to 7 as I've ordered a used Audio Technica AT-F3 HOMC cartridge to try out. I can only assume number 8 is looming just over the horizon...

Nagaoka MP 110 - with it's . 4 x .7 mil LP and a 4 mil conical 78 stylus.
Shure M97xe - with Vivid Line LP and 3 mil conical 78 stylus (both from LP Gear.) Also stock Shure 78 conical stylus that is intended for the M78S, it fits the 97xe.
Shure M95ed - with LP Gear .3 x .7 replacement stylus. Want to try the Vivid Line with this cart too.
Ortofon Super OM 30 with nude fine line stylus. Have OM10 elliptical stylus for it too, not used.
Denon DL-300 - special elliptical or something it's called with this cart.
Denon 103 with conical stylus.
Stanton 500 mkIII with 2.7 mil conical Stanton 78 stylus. I also have the 'E' stylus for this, not used, don't much like it.
Stanton 500 II with 3 mil LP Gear conical 78 stylus - I also have a 3.5 mil elliptical 78 stylus that can fit either of these Stanton's, plus a 1 mil conical and 1.2 mil elliptical stylus for mono records.
Stanton 680 V3 - with whatever stylus it has, I think it's a conical.
Stanton Trackmaster - doesn't get much use . I might use it to play some trashed 45 rpm or something if need be.
Audio Technica SP78 - moving coil mono 78 rpm cartridge with 2.5 mil conical 78 stylus.
Audio Technica 440mla - currently lacking a stylus, will be rectified. I'd like to find a variant that I can use.

I have a few more cart bodies lacking styli kicking around, another Stanton, a Sumiko Oyster, a Grado Green that needs a new tip or stylus assembly. Will probably stay that way. Any more carts I put into use I want to be a serious upgrade.

Actually, it doesn't seem that LP Gear offers a Vivid Line for the M95ed, only the M91ed. They have a Vivid Line for the M95HE cartridge, I wonder if it would fit...

Yes It will. I have an M95ED and replaced the stylus with the LP Gear N95HE and it performs extremely well in the cartridge. Overall performance is on par with my V15III with the VN35HE stylus. I would recommend the use of the stylus without reservation.

The M95 body is very capable. I have an M95ED with a JICO SAS, and it leaves my V15III-HE in the dust.

I have an original
*'Ultimo' 10X ( became Dynavector) not in usable condition as one terminal is broken
*Audio Technica AT-F5 OCC 3/4 worn at least, but usable.
*Ortofon MC25 FL - Had plenty of use and suspect cantilever is slightly out - still usable
*Ortofon 2M Blue - still in mid life
*Nagaoka MP200 Part used and currently on TT (under consideration for next step)

I have had others but they were either exchanged or passed on

Audio Technica AT440MLa
I would be interested to know how those two compare in your opinion...
I am not up to date on the AT sound.
