You could try either of these two sites:

www.lpgear.com

or

www.turntableneedles.com

LPGear wants about $40 for the elliptical (blue) stylus and around $190 for a Shibata (white) version.

$27 from thevoiceofmusic.com. Japanese aftermarket (likely Jico)...and likely the same one lpgear wants $40 for.

Guten tag, Manfred...

Well, you never know. Now I'm guilty of the same thing that irks me when others do it.

OTOH, I never miss a chance to steer folks away from LPGear!

Larry: No, you aren't - 'cause it wasn't you, who has revived the zombie thread.

Greetings from Munich!

The only reason I commented was I recently came into one of these on a turntable I picked up a week or so ago. The previous owner said the cantilever was bent, but it's still playable, I ended up having to replace all but one of the headshell wires. They were so old they were frozen in one position.

It's a very good companion to the Grado Black I had before. It has that high-end that the Black only hints at. I can only expect it will get better once I have a new stylus on there. I'm probably not going to go any higher than a VividLine (?) since I have a few styrene 45's in my collection.

BTW, denvertrakker, thanks for the heads-up about LPGear. I knew it was one of the sites that started with LP that was kinda hinky.

cubdukat: You're welcome, and be aware LPGear and LPTunes are the same company. He also has a couple other identities, too.
