Hi,

the grado's would seem to fit the bill.

I find them very nice sounding with a sort of fat analogue tape sound,
with really good boogying bass, but lacking treble bite somewhat*.

(I happen to have a new Grado Black with 2 spare styli somewhere .....)

* compared to say Audio Technica AT95E/ AT110E.

"fat analogue tape sound"

yeah thats on the right lines id say :D

if you find the grado black and you want to get rid give me a shout..i'll have it off you :D

i always thought grado gear was ridiculously expensive (judgeing from what ive seen in hifi stores) but their carts seem quite nicely priced

now if you could only demo carts like headphones :D

Hi,

I can certainly dig the Grado Black out, email me at sreten@hotmail.com.
I'd like to sell it brand new with a spare stylus.

Note that my description of the sound in on a relatively neutral system,
and more of a tendency of the sound than the actual sound per se.
DJ type cartridges for example are much bassier than the Grado.
