Equipping a Dual CS 608 to play 78 rpm records

Can anyone give me advice about equipping a Dual model CS 608 turntable with a cartridge that will play 78rpm records? The arm has an ULM headshell, and the currently installed cartridge is an Ortofon with a DN 155E stylus. I understand that a 78 rpm stylus is not available for this cartridge. Will any currently available (new) cartridges fit the original ULM headshell or is an adapter bracket necessary? Thanks for any help.

I removed the original cartridge from the base plate (glued as far as I remember), then took an Ortofon OM super cartridge, removed the metal weight at the top, and trimmed off the mounting flanges. This gave the same configuration as the cartridge I had removed. I then superglued the modified OM to the base plate having drilled shallow holes for the corresponding projection in the Dual base plate.
This is not for the faint hearted or those with a tremor or poor vision. Obviously getting the angles right is challenging. It does allow you to use all styli that fit the OM series.
A more conventional approach is to use the carbon fibre adapter kits that sell on Ebay for around $125

I have a DUAL CS608 with the ULM tone arm and mount. If you get the 1/2 inch mounting adapter, you can use any standard cartridge. I use a Stanton 500 MKii with the "78" stylus and a GRADO Gold on another mount for all the 33's I have...
