Lesson learned. I knew placing a turntable on top of an amp is wrong but I thought 50cm with two glass shelves in between should be fine!

Actually I just screwed in the tonearm back to the plinth and even with turntable being far from the amp I can still hear the hum :(

As soon as I touch the tonearm and the metal plate on the plinth between the sub-plater and the the tonearm, hum is gone. I'm using Rega VTA adjuster which is hard plastic I belive. Gonna try to replace it with two 2mm metal spacers.

Hum is still present when used metal tonearm spacers. It seems the tonearm and metal plate on the plinth are causing it.

I've fixed the hum noise! Had to connect earth grounding wire between phone stage grounding post and metal bearing sleeve underneath the turntable. It doesn't look pretty but completely removed the hum!

Summing all grounds usually does the trick. Glad you got it fixed. Enjoy the music!

Usually, too many grounds spoils the pot.
