Bobby: so is your Rohmann better than mine?
hehehe... what were you expecting me to say... :D
Ok, for now, I don't know... haven't compared them yet... :D

But it might be a good opportunity to compare Microridge to FGS...
Mine has Boron / Microridge on it...
Mine is aluminium/ Audio Technica Line Contact. Even with this meek combo it Sounds big and powerful, yet delicate at the same time.

I welcome back another Rohmann from it's coma.
And yet another one back from it's coma... :D
Cool! It’s the most amazingly cartridge I have heard, I love mine.
I can really understand the love for this cartridge... due to a couple of missed opportunities, it took me almost a year to get mine... it is currently my most loved cart at the moment...

Shelter 301 II...

Now I know why Dmitry likes this cart a lot... No joke! :D
So far I have not had the opportunity to meet Shelter 301.
But to visit me, having made a very difficult journey, a guest came whose voice I really love and respect. ))
I was visited by Shelter Harmony.

Okay... the Harmony is the top of the line Shelter cart...

I thought you heard the 301 II before... it has a Conical tip which sounds way better than some Elliptical tips that I have...
I guess that is just in the engineering... :D

I had a Shelter 501 (Classic, if I'm not mistaken) with a spherical stylus.
That was great !

Dynavector DRT XV 1 Mono
Its bifilar coil allows several types of connection.
One conductor has a resistance of 4.5 ohms, the second 6.0 ohms. (Not much, no less - 25% difference)
I was wondering if this was intended, or is it a flaw in the connection of the circuit? ))

A humble Ortofon VMS 3E mounted on a generic headshell to check it out. Playing on a Technics SL-1600, it was a nice surprise as it is open and provides nice detail. I greatly prefer it to a new AT 95E I also have.

I tried parallel and serial connection of the coil windings. I tried mono and stereo vinyl. I tried different phasing coils.
Complete disappointment visited me ((

Delta-MONO did not give Dynavector-mono a single chance.
And it's not a joke !
