help identify this cartridge

Post by Vinai1964 » 15 Aug 2019 01:03

My friend got this cartridge with a second hand turntable and we can’t tell the make and model. Please help identify this cartridge so we can set it properly on his turntable.

Found it after going brute force search from the photos. The make is CORAL - model: MC-8. See screen shot below.

Well done !

Could it be a MC-88?

Hi Collux,
Yes, that could be - the body shape is identical. The label on my friend's cartridge fell out. I told him to dismount the cartridge from the headshell as see the lettering on the back.

By the way, this is the first time I heard of the term "Hydronalium Alloy." Looking up Wikipedia - it is aluminum, magnesium, and manganese. So, it is another type of aluminum alloy.
