The problem is that piece of plastic in between the cartridge and headshell:

Because of that, the cartridge sits too low and the body is in contact with the record. You could try removing it, if its an adaptor, and the cartridge you have does not work without it, I would suggest buying a new cartridge.

Ortofon OM10, AT3600, AT-VM95C or the AT-VM95E should be good choices.

The plastic part that I circled is the reason why the cartridge is sitting too low, causing the bottom to make contact with the record.

This is a P-mount to standart 1/2" adapter. You won´t be able to use the cartridge without that adapter on this headshell.
I recommend a spacer to tilt the cartridge sufficiently, could also improve sound.

Reset the tracking force, properly.
Set the tracking force dial, on the right side of the tonearm pivot, to 0.
Set the anti-skate, the dial on the base, beside the arm, to 0. There might not be one.
Move the arm off the rest, lower the lift lever, and carefully rotate the counterweight, to make the arm balance, with the stylus hovering at the level of the record.
Return the arm to the rest, and turn that tracking force dial to 1.25 grams, which is the standard for P-mounts. Set the anti-skate to the same.
You can find the manual for the CS-455 here: https://www.vinylengine.com/library/dual/cs-455.shtml

Cheers,
Alec

As a P-mount cart, with a universal adapter, your rake angle is hard-wired in, as it should be.

Like Alec points out, you either have too much tracking force, causing the stylus to "hog down" and rub the record on the underside of the cartridge, or you have damaged/aged elastomer on the cantilever.

Follow Alec's directions and reset your tracking force properly to 1.25 grams, the standard tracking force for a P-mount cartridge.

i tried adjusting it all like you guys suggested and all that did is make my stylus go out of hand. i noticed the only way itll play music is if the cartridge is basically dragging on the record which im sad about. would the new solution be is to get a new headshell and cartridge? (basically the stylus after i adjusted everything it shifted and wont proceed on to play the music) i want to insert a video but it wont let me!

You could get a new stylus for your cartridge, or a new cartridge.
I am thinking that the diamond tip of the stylus may be gone. When this happens, the sound is awful, if it tracks at all, and it will slide uncontrolled across the record.

Cheers,
Alec

i think it is gone but other than that i do hear music out of it but its just bothersome seeing it that it drags on the record making me anxiety itll scratch it and im 100% sure that its not suppose to do that regardless.

The replacement stylus for your TT is the DN 251 E
(available here and from other suppliers.)
https://www.lpgear.com/product/DN251E.html

Alternatively as suggested, the AT-3600L cartridge is a good, inexpensive replacement.
-readily found on ebay.

Had same problem with an old Empire cartridge. You will need to fiddle with the adapter and the head shell in order to lower the front of the cartridge so that the stylus is angled down more. The flat area of the stylus plastic has to be parallel to the record surface. The rear end of the cartridge has to be relatively elevated or the front of the cartridge needs to be lowered. May need to use spacers After you fix that make sure the stylus is perpendicular to the record. In some turntables you can adjust the arm base up and down. You can download the manual for your turntable from this website.
It is hard to tell from pictures but the adapter for your P-mount cartridge may be too thick on the front end.

After looking again at your pictures it looks like the cartridge body is not firmly in the adapter. Remove the stylus. loosen screw on the adapter and see if you can shove the rear end up closer the top of adapter. Tighten screw and then put back stylus .
