Changing a needle for a Technics 270C

Post by jjcavied » 15 Mar 2019 19:56

Hey guys,

I wanted to ask you how can I change the needle from a Technics 270C cartridge.
Do I just have to slide it out?

Thanks a lot!

Awesome, thanks.

And do you know if an Audio Technica AT3600L needle fits a Technics 270C cartridge?

Thanks

No, it will not fit. Anyway, the 270c is better. Get a needle from Tonar. They are very good.

Julian, to be clear, we are talking about the entire clear blue plastic piece - the stylus - which houses the needle/cantilever. You don't want to just pull on the needle itself.

But Peter is right about the 270C being better. I have one myself, and for a replacement stylus, I got one of these https://www.turntableneedles.com/EPS-27 ... _3807.html It has a hyper-elliptical diamond.
