Is that a Euro? Pardon me, I am an ignorant American... :D
They're British Pounds. So, currently, multiple prices by 1.3

Unless mentioned otherwise by AT it looks like the same AT95 engine with a new plastic enclosure with threaded inserts, and new stylus options.
It is mentioned by AT at the link provided:

"while the new coil design delivers increased output voltage (4 mV) compared to the previous AT95E and AT95EX models."

So, at the very least, they've tweaked the coil design to increase the output from 3.5mV to 4mV.

I really like the looks of that headshell, and I need a couple. I hope they offer them in the US. If so, I may have to get one each in black and silver.

AT95 series:

Coil impedance: 2.8 k ohms
DC resistance: 410 ohms
Coil inductance: 400 mH

VM95 series:

Coil impedance 3.3 k ohms
DC resistance: 485 ohms
Coil inductance: 550 mH

So there are definitely some electrical differences between the old 95 series and the new 95 series.

The threaded body is an excellent design. Every cartridge should be made like this.

The US site now also shows the new line-up:

https://www.audio-technica.com/cgi-bin/ ... l?lang=eng

Prices are listed and the new 95 is the same as the older 95.

One mistake they made is they posted the wrong photo for the AT-VN95E. Shown is actually the EN, which you can see on the second photo close-up.

The nudie is at $119 which is about what I paid for the AT12XE and the AT13Ea. The 12 does have the .2 x .7 stylus as opposed to the .3 x .7.

I want one just because they are new!

I agree about the new body being a nice improvement over the old one. I also like that it no longer has those thin lines/ridges on the nose of the cartridge which were great for collecting and trapping dust, and the matte finish of the new design won't show fingerprints like the glossy finish of the old design. All in all, this looks like a legitimate upgrade and not just a facelift. Kudos to AT. :D

Looking at the high-resolution photos on AT's site, it appears that they are once again using anodized aluminum cantilevers on the upper level cartridges, starting with the 95EN. The 95C and 95SP have shiny aluminum cantilevers while the 95EN and higher have matte-finish cantilevers. (I couldn't find a high-res photo of the 95E).

I can’t be the only one wondering how the generator compares to the old Linn K9, or whether the VM95 styli will fit the K9 body...
