The AT 3600 cartridges are perfectly good. Amazingly so, for their modest cost. Tracks very good, good sound, consistent quality in the ones I've installed in turntables. If the quality on this model and the AT VM 95 cheaper models stays consistent, I am fine with Chinese manufacture to keep the cost down.

it would be great if someone make a test with this AT3600 and some more pricy cart for example AT440 or similar...

What is your stylus from LP Gear? I intended to buy better stylus for this 3600 body but I´m not decided which and where to buy???
Okay let me get this straight because it really intrigues me. You're saying that the AT3600 sounds better than an MP110. I have that Nagaoka cart and I paid a lot more than $12 for it!

Really for me it sounds better than MP-110 :) It´s very easy listen to AT3600. You will see. $11 or $12 is not much try it and yours ears decide. For my setup technics sl-1210 and tube box S2 with Tung-sol tubes it sound terrific :)

Coming soon!

Need to get my butt into gear and finish the RCM I'm in the middle of building so that my vinyl does it justice.

After a brief holdup in Swedish customs (set me back almost as much as the cartridge itself costs #-o ) the 3600L has arrived. Nicely packed in a case. Looking forward to try it out on the 1225 :D

I ordered two of them and they came in plastic boxes with screws & nuts, just like T68's photo above.

How does it sound compared to the conical and elliptical?

It is a good competent low cost stylus, and consistent quality among the 3 I have bought. I have no problem outfitting a turntable I am selling as a starter cartridge, but it is not one I would run myself. I can't compare to the Nagaoka, but it was easily eclipsed by an AT95E, Empire 66/x type "blob on clip", Pickering V-15 with a NOS Stanton D70E stylus and various vintage Shures with new styluses.

It kind of depends what you mean by eclipsed.. IMO my other carts are different and excel in different areas. Only the Decca has that full sound and detail the rest seem to trade detail for a thin sound stage. For me what is interesting about the AT3600 is you get that performance in the room sound and yes you trade a bit of finesse and detail but hey it is a lovely sound so who cares?
Does it sound better than a mp110? Probably as much as I like my mp500 and appreciate what it does well I like the in room presentation more. Very looking forward to the new ATVM95 range but I bet the cream will be replaced with thin as the stylus gets more exotic. I hope not but that is my bet.
