Dual CS-415-2 Spring Under Platter

Postby Shapingstuff » 18 Oct 2017 11:35

Hi,

I recently had the platter of my Dual CS-415-2 off in order to veneer it with real wood.

There was a spring assembly under the platter and I seem to have lost it.

I have checked the service manual but there is no spring under the platter on the assembly? I wanted to check which part and where exactly the spring went because I am almost sure there would also have been a spring retainer.

I got it second hand - was there definitely meant to be a spring? It looked somewhat like this one:

Ss: Well, there should be a kind of springy clamp to lock the platter to the spindle/subplatter assembly, but that's a flat one and would look similar to those you can for example see in the service manuals for the CS514 or CS515 (part #3 in the exploded view).

Greetings from Munich!

Thanks.

That looks like the ring that holds the platter on. I was sure there was a spring between subplatter and platter but if not on any service manual may be someone added it.
