I have one TT, Technics SL-D202, that my kids took off the neighbor's trash heap the night before rubbish pickup.

Still has original tone arm and headshell. The cartridge had been replaced, since the replacement stylus for the factory furnished headshell would not work.

Lid is scuffed, and one of the plastic tabs that go into the hinge is broken off into the hinge.

I'm listening to it right now, and since I used a tip, found here, to adjust the pitch, it sounds GREAT!

I paid for my Pioneer PL-112D €60,- which was the price these turntables costs on average here in the Netherlands. After restoring and getting enthousiastic about vinyl with this turntable, I started looking for a Thorens. In the time I studied at university this was for turntables "the real stuff". I found my first Thorens two years ago: a fellow-student from those days wanted to exchange his Thorens for a bottle of very good Italian wine. That was very quickly settled. A few months ago my dental hygienist told me she looked for a good new home for her Thorens. She asked me in exchange to mount new tyres on her racing bike. That I settled also quickly. This Thorens 160 MKII is a beautifull one, a Stanton 681EEE cartridge, on a mahogany console, with original packaging. Complete with all the original assescoires.

U-Turn Orbit I bought (barely) used through local Craigslist for $100. And add another $75 for the Grado Black2 cart upgrading from the entry-level A-T cart that comes on the Orbit Basic.

Seller thought she’d really get into vinyl collecting but she moved into a smaller house and decided to go SONOS instead, so the TT has gotten little use from her.

After som tlc (cleaning out gummed up grease and a relube) it spins nicely and all auto works.

I have a Linn lo 12 which cost nearly 5000 euro new.

I have refurbished it with a new to plate from vinyl engine with a baseboard also from vinyl engine: together 320 euro
Linn lingo 4 1750 euro: but got 1000 euro back on exchange for linn akito and linn adikt, so that's 750 euro
Akula sub chassis from Tiger paw 895 pounds
Aro tonearm used 1645 pounds
Used dynavector xx2 mkii 895 pounds

Quite a bit of money.. for those who want to! Convert pounds to euro or the other way round 😉

I got an Sp10Mk2 with its original power supply (SH10-E) and Audio Technica 1503 tone arm. The entire unit comes out of the South African Broadcasting Corporation Studios and I’m running it using the original „Fake“ Studer ReVox EQ & Phono pre.

Got the whole rig for €1000

REAL NICE BEAUTIES ! Although my phono set-up is totally of another nature, I can appreciate all the same such high standard gear and especially when it comes to "vintage" professional gear; the work and the looks. Good deal you had IMO.

Unfortunately I bought the components for my actual TT in the last couple of months.
The prices right now...way too high.

micro seiki DQL 120 750 €
Dynavector DV-505 800€
Ortofon 2m black 500€

I really like everything about it, so to me it's worth the money.
As long as it is cheaper and better than a LP12 ;)

AT LP120 (LP Gear version)- $299
AT618 stabilizer- $40
AT CW1 counterweight- $40
Technics rubber mat- $30
Turntable Toys Cork- $14
Denon DL-103- $240
Emotiva XPS-1- $175
LP Gear Ultimate headshell- $50

Total- $888.00

And probably another $500 on my other carts and headshells. A bigger hit on my bank account has been the vinyl I have purchased since getting back into vinyl in 2016. Approx 200 lp's of which about 75 are new re-issues (approx $20 each or more) and 125 used (ranging from $2 to $20). So I have spent well over $2k on LP's in 3 years. Yikes!! Don't tell my wife please!
