TD 150/II with TP-13A Tonearm

Post by HondaKia » 10 Feb 2020 00:24

Can anyone tell me the weight of the anti-skating weight. I've purchased a tt that's missing this piece of the tone-arm. 39 dollars for an equivalent piece of metal to me is extravagant. Thanks in advance.

Not that this is a GREAT deal of help, but... I rehabbed a TD-150 II for my son, and it was missing the weight also. I made one out of a piece of aluminum rod, and I think it comes in at around 2 grams.

In comparison, the anti-skate weight on my SME3009 is 2.89 grams. Now I have no idea if 3 grams, or 2.75 grams, or something close is fine, or if there's something magical about 2.89 grams for that arm, but that's what it is.

Some folks use a lead split-shot sinker, for what it's worth. :)

Is 2 grams what an original weighs?
