Technics SL-B20 cords

Post by scottyg33 » 14 Dec 2019 00:03

Hey all. I just got a Technics SL-B20 but it has no power cord or ground wire. Do any of you know where I can find what I need? I can’t seem to figure this one out. Thanks I’m at.

If it has a socket on that back of the turntable.....it would help to post a picture of that...if not then you are going to have to open it and find the board to which it was attached. :D

If it does have a connector at the back, then you just need to buy a standard made power cord with the same connector. If it was internally connected (like on majority of turntable like this was), then you have to buy a power cord with wires at the end and find an electrician to do the job properly. With ground wire it is more problematic... it is harder to find that kind of parts and they are expensive if they are available. Because they are produced in small amounts these days.

I think that the power cord you need is this one (with male pins corresponding to the part of the world where you live) :

I found a ground wire with the exact (but oddly sized) connector at www.turntableneedles.com
(No, I don't work there - just got good service and the right part for my Technics SL-Q200)
