Garrard 4hf slow

Post by venaka » 10 Oct 2019 00:53

I've tried the normal things the manual suggest like oiling all the necessary areas and even lightly sanded the rubber wheel ..I still cant to seem to fix the slow speeds..even with the speed adjustment cranked to the fastest it is running slow..do you guys recommend any other things.

How is the main bearing? Has it been cleaned and relubed? And are you sure that there isn't a brake pad rubbing against the platter - it seems to me that the 4hf has one, and, if it does, it should pop away from the platter when the motor is engaged.

Ok looks like the speeds are correct now.

For anyone with this turntable u must oil the engine if you have already oiled the spindle. I disassembled the engine and added oil to it..all good..

Thanks everyone.

This 4h is giving a challenge to my thorens
