So I have a Sansui that's in great working fine condition but cosmetically poor condition. The wood veneer has peeled off in several places and some of the wood has also broken off. I was finally able to source a replacement body in terrific condition (took forever to find). So now my question is has a anyone here have any experience doing the swap? Can I just replace the veneered end pieces or do I have to swap the whole thing? I also cant figure out how to get the strobe light assembly out of the original table...

I took another look and i don't think I want to attempt this :(

If anyone is interested in buying this TT w/extra body I'll sell for $200 US + actual shipping cost?

What's scaring you away? Are you aware the service manual is available here: https://www.vinylengine.com/library/sansui/sr-717.shtml

Think of it this way - it's just like eating an elephant: one bite at a time.

What you're needing to do isn't so much technical as it is paying attention to detail. With the service manual, you taking lots of pictures before deinstallation and taking your time - it'd be a satisfying project to complete.

As far as being old - oh, puleeze... I'll bet you're younger than me! :)
