Since I'm unable to throw anything away (ask my wife: she sometimes get mad at me for that, or almost...) I've kept most of my equipment since the early beginning, so i have to confess the possession of some antiques which would probably make the specialists you are jump sky high!
OK, no reason to be ashamed or shy about it!
1 PE Rex mono with crystal and original ceramic cart (late 50ies)
1 PE Rex Deluxe stereo with dual cristal needles ( M/N) and ceramic cart ( early 60ies)
1 Philips 9115/95 portable stereo system/record changer with valve amp and ceramic cart with dual cristal needles (early 60ies)
1 Dual 1019 with Shure M75 MG D cart (1969) which I use daily in my study.
1 Marantz Mod 6170 direct drive with Marantz 5000 cart (probably of Empire origin) (Late 70ies)
1 Thorens TD 166 with Ortofon 05 cart and needle (Early 80ies)
1 Thorens TD 146 with Ortofon 10 cart and needle (Early 80ies)
1 Telefunken W 238 HiFi / PE 1015 stereo record changer with Shure M 75 C cart. (looking for a motor: the original one's frame was made of cheap zamac which has cracked completely): was used to play an occasional '78.
As you see, too many to use on a regular base although I use both Thorens in parallel, connected to a mix-table to record my own cassettes and tapes, maybe one day my own CD's to listen to in the car.
That's all, I might be considered a bit nut, but I enjoy every minute of it!

Thorens 124 Mk I (pride and soon to be joy once it's restored.)
Thorens 125 Mk I (sitting in a box, Ortofon RS-212 arm to be repaired.)
Thorens 125 Mk II (clips from Grace 707 arm leads are too long to allow proper alignment of XLM Mk III cartridge.)
Bang & Olufsen RX2 (platter slightly dished, and the wonderful MMC2 cartridge worn to the point where it audibly wears records.)

Only one, a 39yr old Ariston RD11s with a Grace 704 tone arm, and a Grado Reference Platinum1 stuck on the end of it all.

I am just barely into the 5-10 and think I may hold at that number for a little while.
Thorens 160B MKII
VPI Jr -currently armless :(
Stanton T90 (better than you may think)
Except for the VPI, all are hooked up somewhere and working. I would love to get the VPI up and running. Just need to find an arm that fits the cut out.

Ariston RD40, currently armless.
Denon DP-75, SME 3009, Denon DL304
Sota Moonbeam, Grace 707. Goldring Eroica LX - main table right now.
Looking to upgrade and go back to one. Gonna be hard to beat the Sota, Grace, Goldring combo without spending a LOT of money tho'.

I only have two.
Micro Seiki DQ-43 with Shure V-15IV
VPI HW-19 Jr. with RB300 and Sumiko Blackbird
Brought to full HW-19 specs with new platter, bearing and SDS. No suspension. I think it sounds better with the Sorbothane pucks.

Thorens TD 124 in repair
Dual 1019 x (2)
Benjamin Miracord 10H
Trying to rid of the bottom three...but for now 7

only one, the VPI HW-19 Mk III...unmodified, and totally satisfying to me.
Would only consider a change in the UNlikely event of receiving a huge amount of money suddenly.
Then, would only consider two alternatives:
Townshend Rock 7, with one current SME tonearm. http://townshendaudio.com/turntables/the-rock-7
VPI Classic, with the peripheral clamp (would need to accept the unipivot tonearm  ).

Finger Painter wrote:Rolleye you have an Oak? I would have loved one of those simply for the small numbers manufactured and the scarcity. Similar with a Royce.
Yeah it was a personal gift from the designer (who unfortunately is no longer with us) its the rare Mk2 version with split plinth, is in black oak, has a clear acrylic platter, a brass screw on clamp and blue lid. It also has the red belt and red curly mains lead from the Mk1.... nice bit of kit and sounds stunning with a recent AudioMods arm.

I've got four:
1. Systemdek IIX + Akito + Ort MC20 Super - my main TT.
2. Technics SL-D3 + Ort X3-MC - working, used in Summertime only.
3. Dual 505-3 + Sonus Silver Blue - on hold, needs arm rewiring/
4. Sugden Connoisseur BD-1 + AT1120 + Sonus SR202 - on hold, needs motor suspension and the belt. Maybe I'll make it as a base for a DIY project in future.
