Fisher MT-6225 platter magnet fix

Post by Hololight » 23 Feb 2019 06:56

Hello. I’ve posted about this previously but just wanted to let people know that the magnetic platters on these great Fisher Turntables can be fixed. Here is my final configuration of the magnets. It works perfectly with good torque and starting speed. It seems to match the specs of the original magnetic band. https://share.icloud.com/photos/0hk-HCn ... inton_Hill

I can confirm that these results can be reproduced. I used the same method described above with success. My original magnet was broken and re-glued resulting in uneven speed. I removed the old magnet with a chisel, some light sanding, and acetone to remove the old glue and get it down to bare metal. After that, I used Holo’s method. Many thanks! =D> :D
