Turn platter spinning too fast

Post by Davod1100 » 12 Jan 2019 05:31

Hey,
I have an Optimus LAB-1100 which recently started playing records too fast (sounds like chipmunks). It happened suddenly while I was listening to some music, as if something dislodged internally. I've opened it up and had a look inside but everything looks ok (not like i know what I'm looking for) and it's not the 33/45rpm button that's the issue. The belt is correctly fitted in place also. Just got some new record and I'd really like to play them, anyone got a clue as to what might be wrong?
Thanks, David.

A small/tiny insulated screwdriver can usually straighten out a speed issue.
Two rotary controls (delicate) on the bottom of the motor.

If its speed is controlled electronically and it happened suddenly there must be some part in that electronics stopped functioning properly.
