Help Late 1970's Pioneer turntable

Post by NDStylee » 07 Nov 2018 07:04

I am looking for a particular model of late 70's belt drive Pioneer black turntable. My mum had one when I was little and I have looked at so many models but can't find the exact one. It is pretty similar to the PL 112 but with some slight variance.

The cartridge was black and pretty sure it had an S shaped tonearm. It had a silver stop lever, a black up/down lever and a silver speed lever all on the right hand side (pretty sure). Anyway, attached is a diagram of what I think it was like. My mum said it was bought mid -late 1970's.

Cheers

Here on VE we have the privilege of having a massive library about turntables:

https://www.vinylengine.com/library/pioneer.shtml

You will find pictures of every model.

Hope you will find what you are looking :)

Although I do not recall seeing any Pioneer with that start top and speed positioning. You sure this is how it looked?

Thanks. I'm not 100% sure about the speed or the start/stop levers but that's what I see in my head! I'm going to check the Direct Drives just in case!

Not as new as that one but it has a silver lever I'm pretty sure! Thanks!

I found out that the turntable was actually the same as a Sanyo TP 600SA branded as a Pioneer - possibly made by CEC. Thanks again for the replies.
