It looks like a version of the 1500 or ATP 12t

Hi can anyone tell me exactly which tone arm this is? I got told it’s an Audio Technica 1503? And are there any reviews out there ?

Matt
The elevation lock is different than my ATP-12T (mentioned in above reply). Otherwise very similar, so definitely on right track.

Would it help if I said it came out of a broadcast studio ?

Matt, it looks like a 1503 mkiii or mkiv. Missing the anti-skate module. The side load arm catch and black weight came with mkiii

Beautiful setup BTW. As a broadcaster I love rack mounted gear.

Did the later models have antiskating? I don't remember the early ones having it.

Thanks so much, it does seem like an mkIII or an mkIV and I've noticed the space/gap where the anti-scate module should be.
There's so much mystery behind this turntable and the entire unit its sitting in #-o .

Mk 3 and 4 have a removable anti-skate module
It's the thing hanging off the right, adjustable weight

Oh - I didn't know that. The early models were well liked, even without it, so presumably they'd be even better with.

The from pictures i have tried to compare it to the LVX, Plus and Aikto but none seem to match. The reason I'd like to know is that the tonearm is missing the counterweight. I'm in the process of restoring the turntable and would like to manufacture a new counterweight.

All help is appreciated.

This seems to be the exact tonearm that I've been trying to identify.. would you mind helping me out with the dimensions and weight of the counterweight?

This arm has been asked about previously, but I can't remember what it was.

The headshell (and OEM arm manufacturer) look to be the same as the Rotel/Acoustic Research/Systemdek arms?

The biggest difference compared to mine is that the counterweight isn't a screw on on mine. Is there a way to find out how heavy the counterweight need to be? Thinking the arms could be manufactured by Jelco..?

You could mount a cartridge centrally in the slots and then hang weights about 2/3 along the rear stub until it is balanced. Measure the total mass of the weights and you have a rough idea what should work :-k
