I wonder if that isn't a very well made DIY arm or a prototype. While very nicely finished, some of the parts seem to be machined or bent rather than cast or stamped - particularly the cuing mechanism lever, cuing platform and the base extension that the mechanism is in, and the antiskating system. I think a company making a lot of arms would save money by avoiding machining parts that can be made cheaply in other ways.

Interesting thought Nat, I have decided to buy it out of curiosity. Does look like a well build arm and if someone made it that solid I guess they put some thought into it. Cost me €50,- including shipping and I would love to have a closer look for that kind of money. If I have it in hand I'll post some more detailed pictures.

The connection seems very solid, I think it's a din connector. Maybe it will give me some clues if I can read the lettering on that.

The anti-skating has been implemented a bit unusual - in my opinion not in the best way (perhaps too low when the tonearm is in the lowest position in the collar). :-k

Regards.

Thanks! I think the tonearm tube, and the base also looks a lot like this Ortofon.. guess someone used parts of this for a DIY project. The lift and the rest are defiantly the same!

I need help identifying this tonearm. I’m pretty sure it’s a Pioneer, but could use help narrowing it down.

It does look like a Pioneer, but most of them had the lateral weight. PL 10, perhaps?
