Guys, I just bought a DeepGroove subplatter to use with my 2016 model Rega R2.
Thing is, they didnt include ANY instructions in the box!! Apparantly, they are happy to take my money, but cant be bothered to include instructions to install the darn thing.
Does anybody have a step by step guide to installing this? I want to do this right.
many thanks,
Retro

Ok, to his credit, the seller did get back to me with detailed instructions, which I followed and all is well. But Those should have been in the box. But, all is good in Audio Land.

I don't know anything about this specific product, but wouldn't the procedure consist of: 1: remove original subplatter, and 2: put new one in? Of course, if the spindle is trapped in the bearing, than you'd need instructions for that, and perhaps they have a specific new mystery oil they want you to use. Though you think they'd include it.
Be that as it may, I'm glad you put it all together. Does it sound better?

Hi Nat.
Yes, it does. The sound has more weight, for lack of a better work, and the slight speed warble I heard on a certain records is gone. For $121, I think I am extracting the best sound possible from my new Rega P2. I'm quite pleased!

AFAIK DeepGroove had one of the earliest after-market Rega sub-platters. They are not new to this.
Cheers,
