SP10 mk2 's worth

Postby silvercosworth » 08 Nov 2017 03:04

Hi,

I came across a working set of SP10 mk2 on the SH-10B3 plinth/cover, coupled with a SME 3009 II improved tonearm, without cartridge. However the cosmetic condition on the unit is a bit corroded all over the entire aluminium body, with some part paint flaking off.
Operational wise, all seems ok with stroboscope locked in and brake function well.

Plinth condition is relatively ok with some minor faint scratch marks.

I suspect the original EPA100 tonearm has been swapped out with the SME 3009 ii.

May i ask any experts here with SP10 to give me a ballpark figure of how much is this worth?
Before i go back to make him a offer.

Thanks

What's he asking?
In top shape, these are worth $1000 or more. In poor cosmetic condition, I would offer half of that.

Cheers,
Alec

I end up buying another set without tonearm from him, i figured if i buy a brand new Jelco arm, its still cheaper than buying full set from ebay. shipping charges from USA to here is another USD400+..
Will post some pics soon.
