Technics sl7 / sl10 / sl15 service

Postby captaintact » 16 Jan 2007 02:08

Hi there,
Does any one know where i can get my Technics SL15 serviced? It is in excellent condition and works but i would like it serviced. I understand the micro switches may need cleaned and the tracking rods for the tone arm may need cleaned and re-oiled. The cartridge and stylus are perfect. The only think i do not have is the signal cable.
Kind regards
Graeme :)

Not an accredited Technics repair shop, but my SL15 was fixed there in 2012.

Excellent service. Richard the owner has probably forgotten more about Direct Drive turntables than most of us on here put together will ever know about them.

He will check it over and give you an honest appraisal of what you need doing to make it last the next 30 years.

If he takes a look and makes any recommendations I'd go with them if I were you.

Postby captaintact » 14 Oct 2017 22:40

Hi

Does anyone know of an engineer to fully and properly service TECHNICS SL7/10/15 Turntables? Preferably in/near London/Kent.

Thanks

Graeme

There were these guys that I discovered for another poster...Worth a call or an email, at least...

A few more thoughts...

Good luck, and hopefully, one of those will work! :D

Thank you 'Spinner45'

Unfortunately Vantageaudio seems to be no longer and Richard's numbers no longer work. Various forums suggest ill health. Richard serviced a few of these Tutntables for me about 7/8 years ago and did a great job. I would happily ask him to do them again if i could contact him...........
