Technics MC310 in need of repair

Postby lucius72 » 03 May 2018 04:21

I have a Technics MC310 moving coil cartridge and one of the channels is dead. This was confirmed by measurements too. Have anyone sent this for repair and how difficult it was? I'm trying to figure out how costly the repair of this particular cartridge might be before sending it out. The initial assessment is quite expensive too. Thanks.

If you've given some thought to replacing that MC310 rather than trying to have it repaired, I have one that I got as a back-up spare for my SL10 back in the 80s that I never needed. Let me know if you're interested.

Once the channel is gone in these.. it’s done for good. End of life

Unless you can micro-solder and put the cartridge back together.
