Hello! I recently purchased a Philips AF 829 mk2 pick-up. The problem is that the engine does not spin when I give it the play command. I say the engine is good, checked separately. All the commands go, the sound is heard. I turned the platter by hand to check it. Pick-up is complete inside and outside. There is nothing missing from it. What could be the problem ?

I recently acquired a Phillips af-829 which was not returning the tone arm at the end of the album. The LED replacement advice worked for me. Thank you for this post!Japi Roelofs wrote: ↑18 Jan 2013 15:37These tables work with LEDs in the automatics. I have an AF-829 MkII that wouldn't engage the auto return function. Replacing the LED solved the problem. Same for the auto-start. I had a 977 that started the automatics, but when the needle hit the record the turntable would stop spinning. LED problem.
Replace all the LEDs inside the table, that will probably solve the problem.
