Philips 418 automatic 22GA418 trouble

Hello, I have a Philips 418 automatic that won’t move the tonearm into position over the record when pushing play. It needs a light push to start moving, if not done, it lowers the tonearm again and stops. When finished playing or pushing stop, the arm moves almost back into the craddle (missing 3-4mm), lowers the arm and stops. Any tips for repair :?: Searched all over for repair/service manual without any luck. Any similar models from Philips that has the same mechanics?

I have a similar problem but mine is Philips GF 447. Automatic playing tonearm is positioned on the outer edge of the vynil, not on the first track. I have to slide the tonearm manually over it and it seems go ahead but the tonearm skips backward and forward while playing. This problem only occurs at the first track of the vynil. Philips service in muy country Perú have not solved it, unfortunately.

You are going to have to open this up and look inside. I don't have a schematic for this one but I'm thinking that most of the Philips turntables of this era use the same type of mechanism.....My guess is that there is a trip pole that works the lift of mechanism/set down. I believe this is being fouled by something a wire or maybe the mechanism has come out of alignment. Careful work here could yield results. :D

Opened and checked, but is not that easy to understand. Much that can be adjusted. Found then out that Erres SG1418 is the same tt as Philips 418, and found a much better manual on Erres a dutch site. Thanks!
