Audio Technica AT-LP- 120 USB HUM

Post by Dubcarrier » 15 Aug 2019 12:27

Hi All

Ive been playing around with the Audio Technica AT-LP- 120 USB and still on the fence whether to send it back. The issue is that when I use the internal pre-amp I find no hum when I turn the turntable on. However, if I switch to phono and use an external pre-amp there is a hum. Anyone had the same issue?

Thanks
Neil

Of course, you're using a ground wire? If so, and you've got hum, try without the ground wire.

There is no ground wire provision for this unit. It is essentially grounded right out of the box.

Right. If there's no hum, find something else to worry about.
