Connector for Technics SL-6 ground jack?

Post by cgallery » 20 Jul 2019 02:42

Hi from Milwaukee WI (USA).

This is my first post.

I'm trying to refurbish a used Technics SL-6 turntable. It came without a ground wire. The jack on the back of the unit sort of looks like a coaxial power connector. In googling pictures of ground wires for these little linear guys, I see pics that almost look like round quick disconnects.

My question is, does anyone know of a suitable connector I could find in a well-supplied hardware store/home center that works well for this application? I can crimp and/or solder it to a wire, I'm just hoping to find a source for a connector.

Thank you in advance.

This is a version sold @ Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/Plug-ground-Tech ... B07PDJV3H9

It sort of looks like a butt splice that has been modified with a razor blade. I guess I'll start there.
