AT LP120 rattling issue

Post by Wander_ » 26 Oct 2018 07:06

Just got a brand new at lp120. I love it! but tiered one issue. whenever I put on a new record, I like to use my brush to clean it. Whenever the brush touches the record, the weight of the brush causes a slight rattle in the turntable. after removing the brush, the rattle is still there though. I also noticed that while it is rattling, the speed indicator dots are slightly moving clockwise. if I stop and start the turntable a few times or take off the platter and put it back on it fixes itself. Its just kind of annoying to deal with every time because I want it to play nicely...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like it's a cogging issue with the motor. I'd return the turntable and get a brand new replacement.

Yes, get a warranty replacement. Don't let anyone tell you they all do that.

Actually, if you return it, get them to swap for a better quality turntable if you can.
