Great album, I wish it was available on vinyl ☹️
Bluest blues is one of my all-time favorite tracks.👍🙂

I have an original U.S. pressing of it, too (with the "palm tree" Warner Bros. label)...though I gotta replace it because it has a nasty "repeat" damage on "Never Going Back Again."

The trials of vinyl playback.

Indeed...

I'm looking to pick up one of the 180-gram reissues of this seminal title but money's gotta be a bit more "flowin'" if you know what I mean....

I still have "Causing A Commotion" on cassette single! Let's not forget "Burning Up", "Who's That Girl?" and "True Blue"! [-X

Another Bay City-born AND Rochester Hills, Michigan native, too, I might add!

Agreed!

I have "Causing a Commotion," "Angel" and "Dress You Up" on 45RPM vinyl -- and that's cool that you have it on cassette single! I had a ton of cassette singles that were somehow lost along the way during cross-country moves and such...

Indeed, there were other tracks like the ones you mentioned that were missing from this collection; they should have issued a two-disc set to fit everything, but then they wouldn't be able to milk us for a double dip later on.

I've read that Celebration (or Celebrate, forgot what it's called), which was Sire's latest "collection" of her stuff on two LPs, isn't that great because it has weird edits of certain songs and is STILL missing stuff... [-X

The only stuff I like of hers post-classic material is "Miles Away" in its dance mix form (I have the CD single).

I have "Cherish" on a cassette single, too...AS WELL as a ton of her 45's! My favorite is the blue vinyl for "True Blue"!

31308

If you dig the 45 rpm format, these came out, too, as a set of jukebox singles on the Maverick label, owned by Warner Bros. MAdonna founded the label with VEronica "Ronnie" Dashev and FredeRICK "Freddy" DeMann...MA+VE+RICK, get it?

I'm glad I bought these in 2001, because look at the prices and availablility (or non-availability, for that matter)...

My best find was the poster sleeve for "Borderline" in my local thrift store...

30629

And my most recent 45 rpm of hers is this 2 disc set from 2008... :D

It's amazing how much the prices have gone up, but I wouldn't mind finding this one, her most expensive one yet!

Some of her UK singles have skyrocketed, too, including early copies of "Lucky Star", a "Borderline" picture disc (£1,000.00 each) AND an "Erotica" picture disc that sold for £2,500 (U.S. - $3,250.00), one of the most valuable discs on the planet! =D>

Moral of the story: Save those Madonna records...One never knows! :-k

That's awesome!

Oh, I'm never getting rid of my 45s, LPs and 12-inchers, believe me. :)

Great to talk with another 45 junkie!

BTW -- do you have this? It was released in '87 as a collection of extended dance versions of some of her classics. The mixes are hot, and I've used them during parties I DJ'ed for years ago. I have it on vinyl AND CD...
